The Washington Travel Clinic is a subsidiary of Washington Infectious Diseases, Inc., the medical practice of Ziad Akl, MD, FACP.

Dr. Akl is a Board-Certified Infectious Diseases specialist with a special interest in Travel Medicine.  He conducts travel consultations and administers vaccines himself.

Before providing immunizations, he takes detailed medical and immunization history from you and tailors your vaccines and prescriptions to your itinerary and travel date.

It is recommended that you start receiving your vaccines 6 months prior to your travel date; however, it is never too late to receive immunizations, even one day prior to your trip.
